From an early age, Kristy was influenced by music and some of the greats like Elvis, Alanis Morrissett and The Cure. Kristy’s acoustic, rootsy brand of pop music has evolved through working with some of the best in the industry including Graham (Buzz) Bidstrup (GanGajang), Clive Young, Rick Price and Anthony Snape.

“I’ve travelled all over the world from Africa to Asia to the UK, Europe and the States plus have learnt to love different cultures and appreciate everyone and everything as we are all different.” ~ Kristy Coote

After months in the United States writing and recording in Nashville at Mike Flanders studio and New York with five time Grammy award winner and music producer, Gordon 'commissioner' Williams (Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone), Kristy returned to Australian soil in 2016 for the release of her new album, 'Favourite Thing'. Kristy has graced stages across Australia with GangaJang, Tyrone Noonan (George) and Jason Singh (Taxiride). She has also performed in Ireland and America (Nashville and L.A.).

The 'Favourite Thing' single received widespread press and radio play in the USA and on home soil in Oz. Kristy has had international success with songs 'I’m Not That Girl' and 'Free Wind'. She also had hits 'Chocolate Days' and 'Calling All You Wanted Angels' on 'Home Grown Roots III' compilation, featuring John Butler, Paul Kelly and Ash Grunwald.

Kristy's style of pop music has taken her on a memorable journey, resulting in her songs being heard across US and Australian radio stations.
